摘要: The gaseous molecule nitric oxide (NO) plays an important role in cardiovascular homeostasis. It this by its action on both the central and peripheral autonomic nervous systems. In review, of NO regulation sympathetic outflow subsequent control is examined. After a brief introduction concerning location synthase (NOS) containing neurons system (CNS), studies that demonstrate effect systemic administration modulators will be presented. effects as assessed intracerebroventricular, intracisternal, or direct injection within specific areas also discussed. Our demonstrating medullary hypothalamic sites involved are summarized. review concluded with discussion mechanisms altered disease states such hypertension heart failure.
