摘要: Some 200 amino acids have been isolated from plants, but only about 10% of these are normal constituents mammalian nervous tissue. Many the other 90% structurally resemble certain those present in tissue, such that they may compete with corresponding “normal” acid at one or more its receptor sites, consequent adverse effects on system. These sites for be enzymes, transport carriers, synaptic membranes. With increasing acceptance concept particular acids, especially γ-aminobutyric (GABA), glycine, and glutamic aspartic functioning as major transmitters central system (Curtis Johnston, 1974), it appears likely neurotoxicity plant results interference acid-mediated transmission. The “antimetabolite” properties toxic particularly microorganisms, extensively studied reviewed by Fowden et al. (1967); this chapter is concerned some fungal origin adversely influence after systemic administration.
