摘要: A reinforced concrete beam section with a through‐thickness edge crack in the stretched part is considered. The eccentric axial force transmitted by reinforcement to element, estimated means of rotation congruence condition able provide this statically undetermined reaction. In field linear elastic fracture mechanics, such increases linearly increasing external bending moment, until limit yielding or slippage reached. From point on perfectly plastic behavior Once moment steel flow exceeded, cracked segment presents linear‐hardening behavior, occurs. It shown how stability process and depends mechanical geometrical (scale included) properties cross section.
