摘要: Linear elastic analysis. Reinforced concrete is a composite material of mortar, aggregates and steel bars. Concrete presents relatively high compressive strength, whereas its tensile strength low. This why bars are embedded in order to carry the load. adhere well. They possess same coefficient thermal expansion, α0 ≃ 1.2 × 10−5 °C−1 such that they can expand together without exerting differential displacements.
