摘要: DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV are type IIA bacterial topoisomerases that targeted by highly effective antibiotics. However, resistance via multiple mechanisms arises to limit the efficacies of these drugs. Continued research on has provided novel approaches counter most common mechanism for utilization proven targets in antibacterial therapy. Bacterial I is being explored as an alternative target not expected show cross-resistance. Dual targeting or combination therapy could be strategies circumventing development topoisomerase-targeting high-value bactericidal continue exploited therapy, if new tactics can adopted.
