摘要: Polyphenols are the most abundant antioxidants in our diet. The pro-oxidant/antioxidant balance is believed to be an important determinant of immune cell function as rather high percentage polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) their membranes has made cells particularly sensitive oxidative stress. dietary may affect various aspects both innate and adaptive wings system by shifting toward antioxidant. Complement system, for instance, been shown inhibited polyphenols this complement inhibitory effect have some role anti-inflammatory properties polyphenols. effects polyphenols, which exerted at molecular level, likely dependent on specific structure polyphenolic compounds. Macrophage functions, including cytokine production, also affected flavonoids through modulation inducible cyclooxygenase (COX-2) nitric oxide synthase (iNOS). Many experimental studies reported modulating compounds humoral cell-mediated immunity. On other hand, stress proposed play a many clinical conditions allergy, cancer, atherosclerosis, among others. well human supported prophylactic against these pathologies. These data altogether suggest that antioxidant-mediated mechanisms. act pro-oxidant under certain situations part explain inconsistencies often seen results different studies. Finally, most, notably vitro, immunity can hardly interpreted long-term general health human. Therefore, further laboratory still needed clarify status.
