摘要: Enhanced photoluminescence (PL) is reported from Mn-doped ZnS nanocrystals (NCs) capped with (ZnS:Mn/ZnS core-shell NCs) and thioglycolic acid (TGA) NCs dispersed in an alkaline TGA solution). The were prepared using a reverse micelle route. Comparing initial ZnS:Mn core NCs, the ZnS:Mn/ZnS exhibit much stronger orange PL (~580 nm). This presumably result of effective passivation quenching surface states by pure shell. As for TGA-capped parallel decrease defect-related emission associated formation shell layer TGA-Zn complexes. In summary, combination shells ligands was demonstrated to yield narrow size distribution intense PL.
