摘要: The hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis regulates the outflow of glucocorticoid hormones under basal conditions and in response to stress. Within last decade, a large body evidence has mounted indicating that endocannabinoid system is involved central regulation stress response; however, specific role signaling plays phases HPA regulation, neural sites action mediating this were not mapped out until recently. This review aims collapse current state knowledge regarding put together working model how where endocannabinoids act within brain regulate axis. Specifically, we discuss conditions, activation acute stress, glucocorticoid-mediated negative feedback. Interestingly, there appears be some anatomical specificity each phase as well distinct roles both anandamide 2-arachidonoylglycerol these phases. Overall, level information indicates acts suppress activity through concerted actions prefrontal cortex, amygdala, hypothalamus.
