摘要: A system that allows the objective determination of blood flow in individual vessels (that is, coronary arteries) intact man is described. Roentgenographic images (produced at a rate 60/sec) are recorded on video tape before and during single injection radiopaque contrast material into circulation replayed any number times. The dilution dispersal this can then be quantitatively determined from simultaneous indicatordilution (roentgen density) curves obtained site within X-ray field by multiple roentgen videodensitometric analyses record. Cyclic nonspecific changes density due to motion vessel or catheter cardiac size position compensated for real time measurements digital computer. By obtaining difference mean transit times indicator-dilution measured distance apart along vessel, velocity calculated as product cross-sectional area biplane orthogonal roentgenograms. effects persisting medium myocardium chambers superposed sampling minimized computer dynamic background cancellation techniques. Simultaneous values canine "coronary" artery videodensitometry electromagnetic flowmeter show good correlation ( r = 0.95) among less than 150 ml/min. Similar artery-roentgen suitable have been clinical catheterization studies man.
