摘要: Mestizos currently represent most of the Mexican population (>90%); they are defined as individuals born in country having a Spanish-derived last name, with family antecedents ancestors back at least to third generation. result 500 years admixture mainly among Spaniards, Amerindians, and African slaves. Consequently, complex genetic pattern has been generated throughout that scarcely studied from paternal point view. This fact is important, taking into account gene flow toward New World comprised largely males. We analyzed structure present-day Mexican-Mestizo populations based on Y-STRs. genotyped 12 Y-STRs DNA samples 986 males five states: Aguascalientes (n = 293); Jalisco 185); Guanajuato 168); Chiapas 170); Yucatan 170). AmpFlSTR Y-filer Powerplex-Y(R) kits were used. Inclusion North Central Y-STR databases analyses allowed obtaining variability landscape Mexico. Results confirmed differentiation gradient previously noted SNPs autosomal STRs territory: European ancestry increments Northwest and, correspondingly, Amerindian Center Southeast. In addition, SAMOVA test Autocorrelation Index for Analysis autocorrelogram plot suggested preferential neighboring agreement isolation-by-distance model. important disease-risk studies (principally male-related) human identification purposes, because not available majority populations.
