摘要: Worldwide neurocysticercosis is the most common parasitic infection of human brain and meninges. Clinical features illness vary with stage ova infection, but problems arise when mature cyst degenerates. Seizures, increased intracranial pressure, focal neurologic signs then often develop. Computed tomography magnetic resonance usually demonstrate Cysticercus cellulosae cysts in brain. A new immunoblot test for antibodies to cysticercus seems both sensitive specific. Treatment praziquantel or albendazole has hastened disappearance on computed improved clinical symptoms.
