摘要: The cerebral metabolic rate for glucose (CMRglc) was measured with positron emission tomography and [18F]2-fluoro-2-deoxy-D-glucose in 14 healthy subjects Down's syndrome, 19 to 33 years old, six syndrome over 35 years, two of whom were demented. Dementia diagnosed from a history mental deterioration, disorientation hallucinations. All trisomy 21 karyotype. CMRglc also examined 15 men aged 20-35 20 45-64 years. at rest eyes covered ears plugged. Mean hemispheric the older significantly less, by 23%, than young group; statistically significant decreases regional metabolism (rCMRglc) present all lobar regions. Comparison younger control group showed no difference or any rCMRglc (p greater 0.05). Assessment language, visuospatial ability, attention memory reductions test scores old as compared subjects. These results show that age differences occur but not controls, that, although only some are demented, neuropsychologic variables them.
