摘要: Abstract In this paper, we evaluate the encoding efficiency of suprathreshold stochastic resonance (SSR) based on a local information-theoretic measure stimulus-specific information (SSI), which is average specific responses associated with particular stimulus. The theoretical and numerical analyses SSIs reveal that noise can improve neuronal coding for large population neurons, leads to produce increased information-rich responses. SSI measure, in contrast global mutual information, characterize benefits finer detail describing enhancement stimulus, may be general utility design implementation SSR scheme.
