摘要: This study describes evidence for the existence of a H+/glycine symport system in rabbit renal brush-border membrane vesicles. An inward proton gradient stimulates glycine transport across membrane, and this H+-driven uptake is attenuated by protonophore carbonyl cyanide p-trifluoromethoxyphenylhydrazone. It positive rheogenic process, i.e. H+-dependent further enhanced an intravesicular negative potential. Glycine stimulated to lesser degree Na+ gradient. inhibited sarcosine (69%), analog amino acid, imino acids (proline 81%, hydroxy proline 67%), beta-alanine (31%), but not neutral (L-leucine) or basic (L-lysine) acids. The results demonstrate that H+ co-transport vesicles carrier-mediated electrogenic process shared partially beta-alanine.
