摘要: When Streptomyces shoivdoensis (N2-209-56) mycelia were grown in the presence of sodium acetate-2-14C, radioactive carbon from acetate-2-14C was fairly well incorporated into showdomycin molecule ; with approximately 14 % total radioactivity added being during a 10-hour incubation. Although three antibiotic substances detected fermentation broth, only showdomycin. The extracted methanol lyophilized powder re-extracted n-butanol, and finally purified by chromatography on silicic acid column. Over 98.1% this preparation due to 14C-showdomycin 0.33 μCi corresponded 1μmole About 2.8 recovered as that showdomycin-14C.
