摘要: Infectious human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) was recovered from two out of four bowel biopsy specimens acquired syndrome (AIDS) patients with chronic diarrhoea unknown aetiology. In-situ hybridisation rectum and duodenum other AIDS gastrointestinal complaints showed the presence HIV-infected cells in both base crypts lamina propria. The type(s) epithelial cell(s) infected could not be determined definitively. However, association in-situ labelling HIV RNA argentaffin staining strongly suggests that enterochromaffin derived neural crest tissue are among target cells. This evidence can directly infect raises possibility causes some disorders patients.
