Highly enhanced photocatalytic properties of ZnS nanowires–graphene nanocomposites

摘要: ZnS nanowires (NWs)–graphene (GR) nanocomposites were successfully synthesized via an easy electrostatic self-assembly method. The results showed that NWs well dispersed on the surface of graphene nanosheets, forming ZnS–GR nanocomposites. photoluminescence intensity exhibited a clear quenching in comparison with NWs. used as photocatalysts for degradation methylene blue (MB) under UV light irradiation. After irradiation 1 h, efficiency was 21.69% NWs, 31.52% ZnS–0.5 wt% GR, 58.69% ZnS–3 88.33% ZnS–5 GR and 80.74% ZnS–7 indicating had highest photocatalytic activity. kinetic rate constant about 16 times higher than mechanism highly enhanced properties attributed to efficient separation photogenerated electron–hole pairs high specific area graphene.
