摘要: Regular ethanol consumption leads to the appearance of carbohydrate-deficient transferrin in plasma human subjects. The mechanism for this finding remains uncertain. We have exposed female Wistar rats from 3 weeks age 22 and studied these animals. Isoelectric focusing (IEF) serum identified two additional forms ethanol-exposed rats. Routine staining immunofixation demonstrated focused at pH 5.45 5.65. Neuraminidase-treated normal rat 2 bands 5.85 6.15 corresponding ethanol-treated Human neuraminidase 5.7 as described by others. results suggest that may be used an animal model study complex effects on iron metabolism.
