Influence of the microsilica state on pozzolanic reaction rate

摘要: Silica fume is generally supplied as an ultrafine powder in its original state, densified or suspension. The difference states should not influence the pozzolanic behaviour of this by-product a cementitious matrix. In present work, experimental results relating to reaction have been obtained by different methods: chemical method, which lime fixed material through time quantified, and physicochemical method based on Langavant calorimeter. By second information regarding silica from value heat hydration released mortar containing by-product. These show that state considerably decreases reactivity with calcium hydroxide (pozzolanic activity).
