摘要: Zeolites generally show pozzolanic activity due to their structural characteristics. The utilisation of pozzolans as additions cements results in added technical advantages the construction materials. In this study, a thermally treated natural mordenite-type zeolite from Palmarito open-air deposit (Cuba) was evaluated with respect non-treated zeolite. Initially, thermal treatment performed at different temperatures within range 300–1000 °C for 5 h order evaluate better temperature treatment. Afterwards, determined each after 7 days reaction saturated Ca(OH)2 solution that simulates release lime ordinary Portland cement during hydration reaction. higher achieved 300 °C. Therefore, further study studied evolution mineralogical phases produced up 90 days, carried out temperature. Consumption Ca2+ and formation C–S–H-like low Ca/Si ratio were experimentally observed main products. thermodynamic confirms high reactivity short-term chemical stability products 28 days. confirmed an increase
