摘要: PURPOSE To evaluate clinically and microscopically the human pulp response when directly capped with an adhesive system or calcium hydroxide over short (9-12 days) long (53-204 experimental periods. MATERIALS AND METHODS Fifty-one sound premolars scheduled for orthodontic extraction, had their horns gently exposed a diamond point. Debris in wound was washed out sterile saline solution. The pulps were then either (Scotchbond Multi-Purpose Plus) hydroxide. All teeth subsequently restored resin-based composite (Z-100) according to manufacturer's instructions. After periods, extracted processed light microscopic examination. RESULTS Short-term: tissue SBMP-P exhibited dilated congested blood vessels associated moderate inflammatory blanching of cell nuclei. Long-term: no evidence healing bridge formation observed. A persistent mild present. Micro-abscesses detected three cases bacterial infiltration. Calcium stimulated early repair dentin bridging which extended into longest period.
