摘要: After the 2000 Olympic Games, Federation Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB) modified scoring system used in beach volleyball from side-out to a rally point system. The goal was facilitate comprehension of game and stabilize match duration. purpose this study assess duration number rallies men's women's matches (2000-2010 FIVB World Tour). Data 14,432 14,175 2000-2010 Tour were collected. variables studied were: duration, total per set match, sets, team that won type (equality score), gender. average is stable, ranging 30 64 minutes, regardless stage tournament (qualifying round or main draw), 78-80 for two-set 94-96 three-set matches. Matches draw are more balanced than qualifying round. More (smaller difference between teams) have longer durations. It not clear why there no relationship Future studies needed clarify aspect. results can serve as reference guide training (with regard rallies) help understand effect rule change.
