Effectiveness of the call in beach volleyball attacking play.

摘要: In beach volleyball the setter has opportunity to give her or his hitter a "call". The call intends that suggests partner where place attack in opponent's court. effectiveness of is still unknown. We investigated women's and men's Swiss National Beach Volleyball Championships 2011 analyzed 2185 attacks. found large differences between female male players. While men called only 38.4% attacks, women used calls 85.5% If players followed given call, 63% attacks were successful. success rate without any was 55.8% 47.6% when ignored. These not significant (χ 2 (2) = 4.55, p 0.103). volleyball, successful 61.5% followed, 35% for 42.6% highly (χ2(2) 23.42, < 0.0005). Taking into account findings present study, we suggested effective while its effect game unclear. Considering quality indicate there potential increase call.
