摘要: Multi-detector computed tomography (MDCT) scanners that can quickly acquire volumetric datasets composed of isotropic voxels laid the groundwork for widespread clinical implementation 3D MDCT reconstructions, with maximum intensity projection (MIP) and rendering (VR) becoming important parts imaging evaluation patients a wide variety pathologic conditions. Recently, new reconstruction technique known as cinematic (CR) has become available is now U.S. FDA approved. CR bears fundamental similarities to VR, but utilizes more complex lighting model bring about photorealistic reconstructions. While tremendous amount work remains be done in order understand advantages disadvantages comparison traditional methods, images themselves are strikingly detailed interactively manipulated highlight different tissue types anatomic structures. In following pictorial essay, we provide number examples use musculoskeletal imaging, including fractures, delineation relationship fractures adjacent vasculature overlying soft tissues, visualization vascular injuries.
