摘要: This study developed methods and determined the impact of influenza vaccination on elderly persons in 3 large health plans: Kaiser Permanente Northwest, HealthPartners, Oxford Health Plans. Data for 1996-1997 1997-1998 seasons were extracted from administrative databases. Subjects plan members > or = 65 years old. Comorbid conditions collected preceding year used risk adjustment with logistic regression. The virus-vaccine match was excellent 1 fair 2. Both years, during peak total periods, reduced all causes death hospitalization pneumonia influenza: hospitalizations by 19%-20% 18%-24% 2, respectively, deaths 60%-61% 35%-39% same periods. These results show that should be immunized annually influenza. this are an efficient cost-effective way to vaccine similar questions.
