摘要: Monkeys were presented with synthetic speech stimuli in a shock-avoidance situation. On the basis of their behavior, perceptual boundaries determined along physical continua between /ba/ and /pa/, /ga/ /ka/, that close to human voiced voiceless consonants. As is case humans, discrimination across boundary was better than both on one side boundary, there generalization voiced-voiceless distinction from labial velar syllables. Unlike monkeys showed large shifts when range varied.
