摘要: Pedigree testing, using genetic markers, may be undertaken for a variety of situations, which the classical paternity testing is only one. This has not always been made clear in literature. Exclusion probabilities associated with various including use autosomal or X-linked codominant marker systems any number alleles, are presented. These formulae can used to determine appropriate exclusion probability situation being investigated. One such where sire groups progeny verified without knowledge dams' genotypes, case too high, and if result an optimistic declaration about that have excluded. On other hand, mating pairs known then incorrect excluded at higher rate than suggested by calculations. The also assist determining usefulness particularly pedigree checks involve one sex. A system notation useful algebraic manipulation probabilities, as presented here, given.
