摘要: The transcription factors SLUG and SOX9 have been shown to define mammary stem cell state. Similarly, epithelial–mesenchymal transition (EMT) markers (E-Cadherin, mTOR) play a role in tumor-progression metastatic potential breast cancer. Finally, SOX10 is known be expressed cancer as well. overexpressions of EMT correlate with poor overall survival. In this study, we examined whether the expression these correlates intrinsic subtypes there prognostic difference their expression-profile. We analyzed 617 samples from two tissue micro arrays. Breast were categorized into three groups according hormone receptor HER2-status Luminal A/B, HER2-positive, triple negative subgroup. Immunohistochemical expressions SLUG, SOX9, SOX10, E-Cadherin, mTOR semi-quantitatively using two-tiered three-tiered scoring system which cytoplasmic nuclear stains considered. Strong was observed preferentially but not A/B or HER2-positive cases (24 vs. 3 0 %, p < 0.001). Loss stain less frequent than (4 9 13 Expression lower (67 vs.78 79 = 0.012). E-Cadherin loss only tumors (p 0.016), no seen between any groups. No correlation conventional histopathological-parameters stage could established our cohort. Our study shows an inversed preferential non-triple cases. This information important understanding biology cancer, also terms future studies dealing targeted therapies based on alterations markers.
