摘要: Abstract Evaluation of the reverse osmosis (RO) process performance in an multistage/reverse ( MSF RO ) hybrid system is particular interest due to obvious advantages desalination plants over isolated ones. Meaningful evaluation a model requires continuous monitoring test unit for appreciable period time during winter season when ambient seawater temperature low. The primary objective this study was systematically confirm possible gains product water flow rate and examine overall plant operating environment. Experiments were carried out at Doha Desalination Research Plant (DRP) using carefully designed equipped 20 m3/d linked with nearby A-1 East Distillation Plant. Actual testing started cold continued about 1,800 h. feed withdrawn from reject stream ranged 24 31°C. Operating data collected included temperature, pressure, rate, concentration, silt density index (SDI), pH according function each stream. A description experimental model, including arrangement, data, discussion results obtained are course paper. It shown that increase up 49% recovery realized before after hybridization compared. Also, 42–48% gain estimated 33°C as compared surface 15°C reference pressure 55 bar. Higher SDI values, increased frequency backwash chemical dosing, loss membrane's salt rejection also encountered testing.
