摘要: Intrathecal injection of interferon-gamma induced a significant increase the number class I and II major histocompatibility complex (MHC)-expressing cells within rat nervous system. A progressive appearance MHC-antigen-positive was found by light- electron microscopic immune histology. The first level comprised that constitutively expressed MHC antigens in normal animals (meningeal endoneural monocytes, some perivascular dendritic cells, few parenchymal microglia especially lumbar spinal cord cerebellar white matter). second represented readily expressing after stimulation with (all perivascular, microglia). third included ependymal astrocytes, Schwann cells. After interferon-gamma, these neuroectodermal inconsistently, usually low density patchy distribution. may be reflected variances lesional patterns experimental allergic encephalomyelitis different histologic severity.
