摘要: Abstract Objective The interleukin-17 (IL-17) family is a group of pro-inflammatory cytokines that are produced by subset helper T cells. IL-17 members not only involved in the immune response tissues but also play role bone metabolism. Although osteoclast-mediated resorption has been extensively studied, its during osteoblast-mediated formation rarely investigated. In this study, we examined effect on osteogenesis rats both vitro and vivo . Design To evaluate , rat calvarial osteoblast precursor cells were cultured for 14 days osteogenic medium with or without 50ng/mL IL-17. Osteogenic activity was evaluated alkaline phosphatase alizarin red staining. mRNA expression phosphatase, osteocalcin, osterix measured using real-time PCR. test whether affects filling micro-computed tomography histological observations at 8 weeks after critical-sized defects made calvaria. Results presence significantly reduced staining inhibited Conclusion exerted negative model. contrast to previously reported beneficial differentiation human mesenchymal stem cells, our results suggest species cell type-specific formation.
