Effect of chelating agents on HDS and aromatic hydrogenation over CoMo-and NiW/Al2O3

摘要: Hydrotreatment catalysts (CoMo-, NiMo- and NiW/Al2O3) were prepared by an impregnation method with solutions containing a chelating agent (nitrilotriacetic acid (NTA), ethylenediaminetetraacetic (EDTA) or cyclohexanediaminetetraacetic (CyDTA)), subjected to some test reactions: hydrodesulfurization (HDS) of benzothiophene dibenzothiophene, hydrogenation (HGN) o-xylene 1-methylnaphthalene. Chelating modified CoMo-and NiW/Al2O3 showed higher activities in both HDS HGN than the without modification. The agents had little effect on activity NiMo/Al2O3. CyDTA was most effective for CoMo/Al2O3 NiW/Al2O3. no each component (i.e., Co-, Ni-, Mo-, W/Al2O3). CyDTA-modified depended strongly sulfiding temperature. exhibited improving at temperatures, while working as inhibitor lower temperatures. Our previous study indicated that pre-formation MoS2-like structure necessary induce intrinsic promoting Co Mo/Al2O3. agent, forming complex which decomposes rate depending temperature, considered adjust timing when ions interact structure.
