Synthesis, crystal structure and magnetic properties of the tetranuclear complex [Ni4(OCH3)4(dbm)4(CH3OH)4]2(C2H5)2O

摘要: Abstract A novel tetranickel(II) cluster with formula [Ni4(OCH3)4(dbm)4(CH3OH)4]2(C2H5)2O (1) in which dbm is the anion of dibenzoylmethane, was synthesized and structurally characterized. Complex 1 crystallizes monoclinic system, space group P21/c, unit cell parameters a = 22.33(1), b 26.03(4), c 24.97(2) , β 105.14(3)°, V =14012.6(1) 3 Z 4 . The structure consists tetrameric, cubane like complex alkoxide oxygen atoms octahedrally coordinated nickel(II) at comers cube. Magnetic susceptibility measurements have been carried out for this complex. χMT versus T behavior from 270 to 2 K shows ferromagnetic coupling between Ni (H) ions. J value determinated be −9.6 cm−1. At low temperatures product does not reach predict 10 e.m.u. mol−1 S ground state. ZFS intermolecular interactions may responsible behavior.
