摘要: C-reactive protein (CRP) and amyloid P (AP) are pentraxins which associated with many pathological lesions, including the deposits neurofibrillary tangles (NFTs) of Alzheimer disease (AD). It has always been assumed that they generated by liver delivered to their sites action serum. Here we report in situ hydridization, reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction analysis, Western blotting immunohistochemistry mRNAs proteins both CRP AP concentrated pyramidal neurons upregulated affected areas AD brain. Controlling pentraxin production at tissue level may be important reducing inflammatory damage AD.
