摘要: The addition of self-MSBO (metathesized soybean oil) to biodiesel significantly depresses the onset temperature crystallization (Ton). MSBO and self-MTO triolein), used as model systems, were separated into their constituent “molecular families” using column chromatography fractionation tested modifiers biodiesel. results indicate that cis-unsaturation combined with a straight chain moiety is critical structural architecture for disrupting crystallization. data obtained TAGs (triacylglycerols) propose most effective stereospecificity when two fatty acids in cis-configuration are sn-1 sn-3 positions trans-/saturated acid at sn-2 position. conversion cis-double bonds trans-double by self-metathesis explains lowering Ton MSBO, leading liquid fraction enriched molecules having cis-unsaturated out-performed This knowledge can be design economical more functional materials from other metathesized vegetable oils selective practical methods. findings study suggest use significant saturated methyl ester content extended colder months year.
