摘要: Coal or a similar solid carbonaceous feed material is converted into lower molecular weight liquid hydrocarbons by contacting the with hydrogen-donor solvent containing above about 0.6 percent donatable hydrogen and in liquefaction zone series of two more zones under conditions presence an added carbon-alkali metal catalyst comprising reaction product prepared heating intimate mixture solids alkali constituent to temperature 800° F. external zone.
