摘要: Background In Japan, Livestock Improvement Association of Japan started commercially producing sexed bovine semen 10 years ago, and is currently used for the artificial insemination (AI) in farms. this review, authors introduce technology sperm sexing by flow cytometry, efforts at commercializing recent field data on cattle with semen. Methods procedures cytometric method, X-chromosome-bearing Y-chromosome-bearing were fluorescently stained, separated from each other analyzing difference DNA content, cryopreserved. The surveyed conception rates after AI these sex ratios offspring cooperation livestock associations, technicians, farmers. Main findings results Although was associated lower comparison conventional semen, accuracy selection using beyond >90%. Conclusion Sexed produced cytometry has potential to produce preferred high reliability. Thus, it expected that more frequently
