摘要: A 67-item Assessment Practices Inventory (API) was administered to 311 inservice teachers. The application of principal components analysis the data yielded a 6-factor solution that explained 64% variance. Rasch rating scale model applied API estimate item calibrations. factor analyzed assessment categories were then ranked in order by difficulty based on mean logits. distribution logits ranged from -.35 0.78. Communicating results easiest category. Interpreting standardized test results, conducting classroom statistics, and using decision making constituted most difficult categories. Nonachievement-based grading more than recommended practices, performance paper-pencil tests. identification hierarchy provided useful information for measurement training teacher education assessment. findings justified ongoing research supported call community shift instructional emphasis traditional objective tests alternative assessments.
