摘要: The Atmosphere-Space Interactions Monitor measures Terrestrial Gamma-Ray Flashes (TGFs) simultaneously with optical emissions from associated lightning activity. We analyzed measurements at 180-230 nm, 337 nm and 777.4 related to 69 TGFs observed between June 2018 October 2019. All are 90% of them the onset a large pulse, suggesting that they connected initiation current surges. A model photon delay induced by cloud scattering suggests sources pulses 0.7 ms before 4.4 after TGFs, median -10±80 µs, 1-5 km below top. have rise times comparable but longer durations. Pulse amplitudes ∼3 larger than nm. results support leader-streamer mechanism for TGF generation.
