摘要: In routine mutagenicity testing of environmental chemicals, bacterial systems occupy an important place in test strategies such as those developed by Flamm (1), Bridges (2), Bora (3), and others, which are current use several institutions. The common phases these tier for have been recognized described Sobels (4) (i) primary detection mutagenic effects short-term assays, (ii) verification tests using eukaryotic indicators, (iii) quantification the animals (in comparison to known mutagens), (iv) extrapolation man. Bacterial indicators can used quantify genetic mammals, example body-fluid (5) host-mediated assays (6–8), but their main role lies chemicals be further evaluated carcinogenic hazards, bacteria Escherichia coli Salmonella typhimurium (see 9 10).
