摘要: Abstract This paper puts forward the vision that a natural future stage of electricity network could be grid spanning whole planet and connecting most large power plants in world: this is “Global Grid”. The main driving force behind Global Grid will harvesting remote renewable sources, its key infrastructure element high capacity long transmission lines. Wind farms solar supply load centers with green over distances. focuses on introduction concept, showing globally interconnected can technologically feasible economically competitive. We further highlight multiple opportunities emerging from global such as smoothing energy demand, reducing need for bulk storage, volatility prices. also discuss possible investment mechanisms operating schemes. Among others, we envision system market establishment two new coordinating bodies, Regulator” System Operator”.
