摘要: Accurate iris reproduction in the fabrication of ocular prosthesis order to match remaining eye is a key factor mask loss and achieve an esthetic outcome for anophthalmic patients. This study evaluated stability acrylic paints used replicating color prostheses by analysis two factors: temperature resin polymerization cycle during incidence sun light, which main photodegrading agent undermining longevity prostheses. An accelerated aging assay was both analyses. Specimens simulating prosthetic colors blue, yellow, black, brown green were fabricated, submitted colorimetric reading before after undergoing thermal conditions polymerization. Next, specimens artificial with ultraviolet radiation A weekly readings 3-week period. The change (E*) values four painted same paint averaged resulting considered statistical analysis. Levine’s test Student’s t-test analyze influence on each paint. Friedman’s three dependent samples photodegradation as function time. Significance level set at 0.05 all It observed that, action cycle, alteration above clinically acceptable E*> 3.3 only yellow color. After assay, there statistically significant differences (p 0.05) color, presented little limit. In conclusion: 1. Only alterations levels cycle; 2. aging, no changes levels; 3. For degradation slightly 4. blue time; black within clinical levels, while more accentuated over
