摘要: Objective To compare the 5-year outcome of 82 infants with vesico-ureteric reflux (VUR) against initial (< 1 year) and follow-up results direct radionuclide cystogram (DRC). Patients methods An DRC was taken at a mean age 0.6 years study 1.7 years. VUR graded using ‘one-third bladder volume’ grades (BVG) ‘low’, ‘moderate’, ‘high’ ‘void’, ‘low’ considered most severe. Renal scintigraphy used to assess renal scarring in 80 patients. The minimum 5 years defined as resolved reflux, those corrective surgery or still being medically followed. Results Those followed comprised 29%, 17% 54% Children ‘moderate’ (as worst grade either side) were more likely have resolution than (by four two times, respectively). Reflux volume 2.6 times be associated other combined. ‘Low’ present nine 14 children needing surgery. There linear relationship between scintigraphic findings. Conclusion The severity can assessed from bladder-volume DRC. Continuing BVG is increased scarring, resistance natural
