摘要: This paper gives an overview of scientific challenges that occur when performing life-cycle assessment (LCA) in the food supply chain. In order to evaluate these risks, Failure Mode and Effect Analysis tool has been used. Challenges related setting goal scope LCA revealed four hot spots: system boundaries LCA; used functional units; type quality data categories, main assumptions limitations study. Within inventory analysis, challenging issues are associated with allocation material energy flows waste streams released environment. Impact brings uncertainties choosing appropriate environmental impacts. Finally, interpret results, a scientifically sound sensitivity analysis should be performed check how stable calculations results are. Identified pave way for improving chains enable comparison results.
