摘要: The impact of carbapenemase production among clinically significant Gram-negative rods is becoming a major medical issue. To date, Acinetobacter baumannii has been considered as final recipient genes (imipenemase, Verona metallo-β-lactamase, Guiana extended-spectrum β-lactamase and Klebsiella pneumonia types) from Enterobacteriaceae Pseudomonas aeruginosa. However, recent findings regarding the spread blaNDM revealed that A. likely acts source emerging antibiotic resistance genes. analysis genetic structure surrounding blaNDM-1 gene (Tn125) responsible for its dissemination most probably originates Acinetobacter. Moreover, itself demonstrated it might be constructed in through recombination event with another found (aphA6). This novel paradigm highlights unexpected role played by baumannii.
