摘要: We have examined the correlation of a frequent A/G polymorphism within exon 4 cyclin D1 gene (CCND1) with genetic susceptibility and clinical outcome in 384 patients squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) head neck. CCND1 genotype frequencies were similar cases 191 controls. Furthermore, was not associated to SCC larynx, pharynx, or oral cavity. The influence on also assessed. found no between tumor size (T1-T4), involvement nodes at presentation, patient age gender. However, distribution genotypes poorly differentiated tumors significantly different that well-/moderately (P = 0.016; chi2(2) 8.71). Homozygosity for CCND1*G (GG genotype) (G3). used Cox's proportional hazards model investigate disease-free interval. GG reduced interval [P 0.001; hazard ratio (HR) 2.95; 95% confidence (CI) 1.54-5.63]. This remained significant after correction differentiation 0.013; HR 2.34; CI 1.2-4.6) stage 0.005; 2.64; 1.34-5.19). Analysis data from sites showed laryngeal 0.004; 3.63; 1.44-8.83) pharyngeal 0.006; 3.48; 1.43-8.46) tumors. is first report an association prognosis These show independent prognostic indicator supports initial observations non-small lung cancer, influences behavior.
