摘要: The diagnosis and treatment of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) have been revolutionized over the last few years. Requirements for cytopathologists in therefore changed. general diagnostic category NSLC is no longer sufficient. In addition cytological specimens need to be evaluated adequacy regarding predictive marker analyses. Accurate NSCLC subtyping with a distinction adenocarcinoma from squamous carcinoma crucial decisions as subtype will decide on chemotherapy regimen choice analyses targeted treatment. majority cases, can diagnosed by morphology alone. Cytology equally well suited biopsy assessment molecular markers. best results are achieved when both cytology compared choose most appropriate specimen morphological testing. this paper, we discuss special issues currently recommended
