摘要: Abstract Transfusion transmitted virus (TTV) is a new DNA found in patients with post-transfusion hepatitis. The prevalence of this among dental has not been reported, therefore, the TTV infection consecutive inpatients was evaluated. assayed by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) 441 oral cancer ( n =192) or cysts =249). serum HBs antigen and HCV antibody as well aspartate transaminase (AST), alanine (ALT), gamma glutamyl transpeptidase (γ-GTP) concentrations were also measured. Of subjects, 137 infected (31.1%). This much higher than that HBV (HBV 1.2%; 6.0%) these patients. There no gender age difference infection. 192 cancer, 57 subjects had their sera, while 80 249 cystic disease TTV. similar between two different groups. Neither ALT nor AST positive negative for DNA. In hospitalized patients, 31.1% HCV. cysts. Dentists should maintain high standards control when treating any patient.
