摘要: Nano-computed tomography (nano-CT) is an emerging, high-resolution cross-sectional imaging technique and represents a technical advancement of the established micro-CT technology. Based on application transmission target X-ray tube, focal spot size can be decreased down to diameters less than 400 nanometers (nm). Together with specific detectors examination protocols, superior spatial resolution up 400 nm (10 % MTF) achieved, thereby exceeding capacity typical systems. The concept nano-CT as well basics specimen preparation are demonstrated exemplarily. Characteristics atherosclerotic plaques (intraplaque hemorrhage calcifications) in murine model atherosclerosis (ApoE  (-/-) /LDLR double knockout mouse) in context comparison micro-CT. Furthermore, this article presents for cerebral microcirculation (murine), lung structures (porcine), trabecular microstructure (ovine) contrast imaging. This review shows potential radiological method biomedical basic research discusses experimental, high CT techniques consideration other techniques. Key Points: • Nano-computed CT-technology 3D at sub-micrometer resolution. • The bases further development ex-vivo-micro-CT • By improvement resolution, cellular level become visible (e.g. osteocyte lacunae).
