摘要: Intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms (IPMNs) are rare pancreatic tumors, accounting for less than 1-2% of all the pancreas. The main characteristic IPMNs is their favorable prognosis, as these pre-malignant or malignant lesions usually slow-growing tumors and radical surgery frequently possible. According to localization lesions, three different tumor types have been identified: main-duct IPMN, branch-duct IPMN mixed-type (involving both duct side branches). IMPNs do not present pathognomonic signs symptoms. obstruction system may cause abdominal pain acute pancreatitis (single recurrent episodes). be incidentally discovered in asymptomatic patients, particularly those with IPMNs. In clinical practice, any non-inflammatory cystic lesion pancreas should considered possible IPMN. Computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging cholangiopancreatography endoscopic ultrasonography can localize an assess its morphology size. choice between non-operative surgical management depends on risk malignancy definitive distinction benign Main-duct a high degeneration, especially older patients. radiological features, well treatment outcome, eight patients (five main-duct, two one mixed-type) observed by authors over last ten years presented.
